Hi, and welcome to my classroom web site! I currently teach fourth grade in South Glens Falls. I live in South Glens Falls with my husband and my two beautiful Maine Coon Cats, Andy and Lloyd.
Although I was born and raised in South Glens Falls, my desire to teach led me out of the area. After graduating from The State University of New York at Plattsburgh I moved to Lake Placid, New York to teach grades 5 and 6 at Saint Agnes Elementary School. From there I moved to Ticonderoga, NY to teach grades 3 and 4. While teaching in Ticonderoga I worked on my masters degree in education. I received that in 1989. In 1990 I was thrilled when a teaching position opened at Tanglewood School as that is the elementary school I attended as a child. This will be my 24th year teaching. I can't believe it!
My siblings live close by. My older sister and her husband live in Queensbury. My younger brother and his wife are both teachers in Queensbury. They, along with my one-year-old niece live right around the corner from us.
I enjoy learning about computers and technology. Although frustrating at times, creating this web page has been a rewarding experience. I love to surf the internet to find teaching and web site ideas.
Some of my other interests include traveling, reading and walking. I also enjoy spending time with my friends. This summer my husband and I visited Stowe, Vermont, and Stratton Mountain, Vermont for car shows. Lake Placid is one of my favorite travel destinations.
I'm excited about this new school year. There are a few changes at Tanglewood this year. A sad change is that Mr. John (Himelrick) has retired and won't be at school to greet us this year. There are some cool changes as well, like our new Smartboards. I can't wait to put them to use!
Thank you for visiting my web site. Please visit often as I hope to update it often! Email me or sign my guestbook (on the home page) to let me know you were here! I’m always open to suggestions!
